7th Grade Math
What is 7th grade math and what are we suppose to learn this year?
Mathematical PracticesIn addition to specific standards of math that must be learned, there are eight (8) Mathematical Practictes - essentially seven "things" the students are exptected to do, in conjunction to knowing the math:
1. Make sense of problems and persevere in solving them. 2. Reason abstractly and quantitatively. 3. Construct viable arguments and critique the reasoning of others. 4. Model with mathematics. 5. Use appropriate tools strategically. 6. Attend to precision. 7. Look for and make use of structure. 8. Look for and express regularity in repeated reasoning. |
4. Modelar con matematicas. 5. Usar utiles apropiados estrategicamente. 6. Atender precision. 7. Buscar y usar estructura. 8. Buscar y expresar regularidad en razionamiento repitido. |
